Ruth HUANG Xu (b.1997) is a multi-disciplinary creative who was born in China and grew up in Singapore. She is currently living in the United States, where she continues to pursue her creative endeavors. Her works are visual manifestations of how she perceives the surrounding world. While she mostly works with concepts and uses materials she personally connects to – partly influenced by her Chinese background – she believes in the universality of sentiments and emotions. Her recent body of work explores themes of recollection, pain and healing, extension and empowerment beyond the individual body, and relationships between others and self.
